Good showers need more than new heads and fresh walls. We can help you improve the whole facility—from privacy and drainage to dependable hot water when several people shower at once.
Ready for the busy periods.

Oxyplumb · Practical advice from the start
A team coming off the pitch, a shift finishing or guests returning to a campsite can put a shower block under pressure very quickly. Tell us how many people use the facilities and when. We’ll look at the supply, hot-water recovery and distribution before recommending the room and equipment changes.

01 · A better shower blocks project
Individual cubicles can give users more privacy; open shower arrangements may suit some team facilities. We’ll discuss the people using the space, accessible provision, somewhere to keep belongings dry and the route between changing and showering.

02 · A better shower blocks project
Rada offers shower panels, controls and mixing solutions for commercial facilities. We can discuss these alongside the building’s supply and maintenance needs. A panel requiring a pre-blended supply must be considered with the upstream temperature-control arrangement—not treated as a standalone answer.

03 · A better shower blocks project
A shower that runs well on its own may struggle when the rest are in use. We’ll assess available flow and pressure, pipework restrictions and the hot-water system. The answer could be a distribution improvement, additional capacity or a properly designed break-tank and booster arrangement.
Compare the priorities
| Setting | What matters | What we consider |
|---|---|---|
| Sports club or school changing block | A short, busy peak after sport | Simultaneous use, recovery, robust controls and phasing |
| Workplace showers | Staff use around shift changes or cycling to work | Privacy, access, ventilation and the existing supply |
| Campsite or leisure facilities | Seasonal demand and longer operating hours | Stored capacity, cleaning, isolation and ongoing maintenance |
Plan around the building
We can look at appropriate flow control, practical timed operation and distribution improvements without making the shower uncomfortable to use. Temperature management and the site’s legionella-control arrangements must remain part of the design. We’ll agree commissioning, handover information and who is responsible for the ongoing checks; a refurbishment does not remove the need to manage water safely.
Our refurbishment processThe services behind the space
New facilities are a good opportunity to solve the water-supply problems you already know about—and identify the ones that extra outlets could create.

Explore commercial hot water
We’ll investigate the supply and simultaneous demand. Where suitable, we can plan booster pumps and break tanks alongside the new facilities.
Explore water-pressure systems
Layout changes affect hot and cold connections, isolation and waste routes. We can coordinate these before new finishes go in.

Thought through from the start
We’ll help identify the design decisions and specialist input needed for your project. The requirements depend on the building, its use and the scope of work; the final layout and approvals should be agreed with the relevant designer or building-control body where applicable.

A few useful answers
Yes. We’ll investigate the incoming supply, available flow, pipework and simultaneous demand. A booster may be appropriate, but it is not the answer to every problem; storage, restrictions and hot-water performance need checking too.
We can assess your hot-water storage, heat input, recovery and distribution, then explain suitable upgrade options. Adding showers without reviewing these can leave the new facility unable to meet busy periods.
No. The supply arrangement depends on demand, the existing system and applicable water-supply requirements. Where a break tank and booster are suitable, we’ll consider sizing, location, access, overflow and maintenance as part of the proposal.
We’ll look at phased working, alternative facilities and suitable shutdown periods with you. Whether the showers can remain partly available depends on the layout, service connections and the work required.
Yes. Planning the two together helps coordinate privacy, storage, drainage and the movement between wet and dry areas. We can agree one refurbishment scope covering the connected spaces.
