Gledhill commercial hot water in Oxfordshire

Need dependable hot water for staff facilities or a smaller commercial building? We can help assess whether a Gledhill cylinder suits the demand and how it should connect to the rest of the system.

Explore the Gledhill range

Choose the cylinder arrangement around the space and heat source.

Gledhill’s cylinder options offer different shapes and heat-source arrangements. We assess them for suitable smaller commercial applications, with the manufacturer’s intended use confirmed. A change in shape must still leave enough storage, recovery and safe access for the building.

Equipment & application

Gledhill StainlessLite Plus Indirect

An indirect cylinder stores hot water heated by a separate boiler through its coil. We review the available primary heat and controls as well as the vessel capacity. This is a different arrangement from a direct gas-fired commercial water heater and needs selecting accordingly.

  • Separate boiler supplies the heat
  • Standard vertical storage arrangement

Worth discussing forSuitable smaller premises and staff facilities.

Equipment & application

Gledhill StainlessLite Plus Slimline

The Slimline range offers a narrower cylinder format where the available footprint is restricted. That can be helpful in a cupboard or tight plant space, but height, connections and maintenance access still need checking. We’ll compare useful capacity and recovery rather than fit a vessel simply because it clears the doorway.

  • Narrower cylinder format
  • Space-saving option subject to duty

Worth discussing forSuitable applications with limited floor space.

Equipment & application

Gledhill StainlessLite Plus Horizontal

This is a purpose-designed horizontal indirect cylinder for height-restricted locations. It is not a conventional vertical cylinder laid on its side. We consider structural support, installation access and service clearances alongside hot-water demand before recommending an arrangement.

  • Designed for horizontal installation
  • An option where headroom is restricted

Worth discussing forSuitable low-height spaces and carefully planned loft installations.

Equipment & application

Gledhill StainlessLite Plus Heat Pump

The heat-pump cylinder range uses a coil intended for that heat-source application. Recovery needs checking at the actual operating temperatures of the proposed heat pump. We can help review the combination and any supplementary heating or control requirements instead of assuming a standard boiler cylinder will perform identically.

  • Heat-pump-specific cylinder range
  • Match the coil to the proposed heat source

Worth discussing forSuitable installations using a heat pump for hot water.

From survey to handover

Gledhill installation & replacement.

Please tell us how many outlets are used together, when they are busiest and where the existing cylinder sits. We’ll review the boiler connection, incoming water and safe installation requirements. If the building needs more storage or faster recovery than a suitable Gledhill arrangement can provide, we’ll explain the alternatives rather than stretch a product beyond its intended application.

What we’ll work through with you

  • Peak outlet use and how long the busiest period lasts
  • Stored volume and the rate at which hot water is replenished
  • Incoming pressure, distribution and secondary circulation
  • Safe temperatures, maintenance access and changeover arrangements

Looking after existing equipment

Gledhill servicing & fault investigation.

If you notice discharge, fluctuating temperatures or a much slower recovery, contact us with the cylinder model and a description of the symptoms. We can agree a maintenance or fault-finding visit. Safety devices must not be isolated or altered to stop a symptom; the cause needs to be investigated.

We’ll agree the visit and access requirements with you. Servicing follows the installed equipment’s requirements; any additional repair, specialist attendance or replacement parts are discussed as part of the scope. If you look after several buildings, ask us about planned maintenance.

Useful to know

Your Gledhill questions.

Is a Gledhill cylinder the same as a commercial water heater?

No. An indirect cylinder stores water heated by a separate source. A direct-fired water heater generates heat within its own appliance. We can compare both approaches against the actual hot-water demand and available services.

What should I send when asking for a quote?

Send your postcode, a short description of the problem or planned work, and photographs of the equipment and its model plate. Tell us about any access restrictions and important operating times. We’ll help establish whether a site assessment is needed before preparing the proposal.
