Mulberry Bush School
School heating and hot-water plant replacement
Our work
The existing plant
The school’s plant room housed Broag Remeha L200 boilers dating from 1998.
The replacement
The replacement specification called for two Firebird Envirogreen commercial oil boilers, a 200kW plate heat exchanger to separate the boiler circuit from the existing heating system, and a 300-litre indirect hot-water cylinder.
Designed around the school
The scope also included variable-speed circulation pumps, insulated and labelled pipework, and integration with the school’s existing building-management controls. The photographs show the old plant, strip-out, replacement boilers and cylinder, pumps and insulated services.
